12 May 2020

More than 20 million people worldwide work in the care sector. They receive special recognition once a year with the International Nurses Day, which takes place on 12 May. This day was chosen because it commemorates the birthday of the British nurse Florence Nightingale. The pioneer of modern nursing would have turned 200 years old this year.

The motto of this year's campaign is "Nursing the World to Health". Nobody could have anticipated the aptness of this this motto is when it was first established. Because right now, during the Corona pandemic, every caring hand is needed. At the same time, however, it is also clear that nurses are also in need of support. Because in order to be able to do their job, they require hygienically clean workwear, sufficient quantities of mouth and nose masks, disinfectants and other consumables and textiles.

We at CWS are glad and proud that we are able to support hospitals, nursing homes and other homes in Germany and many other countries with hygienically clean workwear and flat linen, but also with equipment and consumables for washrooms and disinfectants. And on this special day, we would like to say thank you to everyone who is involved in nursing care.
