These work trousers impress with their Type 6 certification, the highest protection possible in the textile clothing segment. They protect the wearer against liquid chemical splashes and aerosols as well as reducing the risk of chemical burns. For its chemical protective clothing, CWS uses polyester, which is already very robust without further processing. Chemical treatment gives the polyester additional protective properties and allows it to repel water and oil, for example, making the trousers ideal for the electroplating industry.
The trouser are fitted with belt loops and a concealed button fly, complemented by two side pockets, a back pocket and a generous folding rule pocket. All flaps correspond to the requirements of the applicable standards and prevent the ingress of liquids – an effect also supported by the lap seams. Yet another bonus of this special seam finish is that it gives the work trousers a particularly high tensile strength and bursting strength.
For the chemical protective workwear to achieve its important protection properties, it is essential for the trousers to be worn in combination with the matching jacket and/or work shirt. Another important aspect is that the chemical protection clothing must be removed immediately after contamination, as liquid chemicals could otherwise penetrate the fabric.
