CO2 fire extinguishers - advice, installation & maintenance

The CO2 fire extinguisher extinguishes class B fires quickly and reliably using carbon dioxide. It is suitable for fighting liquids or substances that become liquid (e.g. paint, tar, petrol, plastics). The CO2 hand fire extinguisher is often used in laboratories, electrical systems, IT rooms, server rooms, clean rooms and switch cabinets.

In addition, the CO2 fire extinguisher can be used in the functional range from -30 °C to +60 °C. In addition, you can also use the CO2 fire extinguisher on electrical systems up to 1,000 volts, since carbon dioxide is not electrically conductive. The CO2 fire extinguisher from CWS is a permanent pressure extinguisher with a hand lever function. It can be purchased as a portable version with a floor stand or wall mount. All variants of the carbon dioxide extinguisher are immediately ready for use. In addition, our carbon dioxide extinguishers are officially tested and approved (DIN EN 3, GS and CE).

Important information on the use of CO2 hand fire extinguishers
Carbon dioxide extinguishers may only be used where the size of the room allows. Carbon dioxide (CO2) displaces oxygen. At least 5.5 m² must be available per kg of CO2 used (room height of at least 2m considered). In addition, the employees must be instructed. We also recommend including the CO2 extinguisher in the general risk assessment.
