Door control unit - advice, assembly & testing
Door control panels are used to secure electrically locked doors along escape and rescue routes. A door control unit can be used to release electrically locked escape doors for authorised persons during operating hours without triggering an alarm. In an emergency, the door opens for anyone by pressing the emergency button.
Functions of a door control unit:
- emergency button for door opening
- lock function (special solution)
- weekly timer
- compatible with bus technology
Besides, an optional interface to other products such as swing door drives, fire alarm systems or burglar alarm systems is possible. CWS door control units can be set so that escape doors can be locked, permanently unlocked, or briefly unlocked as required.
Our door control units consist of high-quality plastic, metal, or stainless-steel housings. They are available in different looks such as stainless steel, white or green. They are functional at an ambient temperature of -10 °C to +50 °C.
Testing of door control units: Within the framework of a functioning fire protection system, door control panels must be checked by an expert every 12 months. The operator must present a test certificate to the building supervisory authority on request. CWS installs door control units, affixes the necessary signs, and carries out the recurring test.
