Lithium fire extinguishers - advice, installation & maintenance

The CWS lithium fire extinguisher is reliably capable of extinguishing fires of fire classes A and D and preventing them from spreading.

  • Fire class A: Fires of fire class A occur with solid, predominantly organic substances (e.g. wood, paper, textiles).
  • Fire class D: Fire class D fires occur with metals

The lithium fire extinguisher is especially suitable for fires of lithium, one of the most common materials for batteries and accumulators. Lithium-ion batteries can be found in many businesses and households. At the same time, however, they pose a fire risk that should not be underestimated, especially in the case of damage, thermal stress (e.g. overheating) or deep discharge. Consequently, the special fire extinguisher for lithium batteries is advisable for most craft and industrial businesses as well as public buildings that have many battery-based devices in use.
