Duisburg, 9 March 2026. CWS Fire Safety GmbH, a full-service provider of products and services for preventive fire protection and safety technology, is expanding its network to include Weide & Co Sicherheitssysteme GmbH from St. Ingbert. With this acquisition, CWS Fire Safety is strengthening its presence in Saarland and at the same time driving forward the expansion of its safety technology division. This step is in line with the growth strategy of the Duisburg-based company, which has already acquired 27 specialist fire protection and security technology companies in Germany and the Netherlands in the past.
The aim is to tap into new regions, expand existing expertise and integrate additional know-how into the company. The merger will also benefit Weide & Co Sicherheitssysteme GmbH, which was founded in 2003. It will become part of a large specialised network with centralised purchasing structures and expanded development and exchange opportunities in security technology.
Continuity for employees and customers
The jobs and experienced team at Weide & Co Sicherheitssysteme will be taken over in full by CWS Fire Safety. This means that support and service for existing customers will continue to be provided in the usual manner. Customers will also now have the opportunity to purchase additional fire protection services. CWS Fire Safety aims to establish itself as a leading European company in the fields of fire protection and safety technology.
Merger is an important step towards growth

Weide & Co Sicherheitssysteme GmbH will initially continue to operate under its existing name. The focus will be on securing established customer relationships and the regional market position in the long term, while at the same time tapping into new growth opportunities.
