Dominik, Branch Manager

Mitarbeiter-Geschichte Dominik Führungskraft

Dominik's career path is impressive and varied. After training in office management and administration 💼, he began his professional career as a fire protection technician 🔧. With his technical experience, he then worked as a sales representative 🚗 and later as an area manager with personnel responsibility in fire protection wholesale. After a brief stopover in structural fire protection 🏗, he moved to CWS Fire Safety.

Why CWS Fire Safety?

For Dominik, the move to CWS Fire Safety was a logical decision 💯 ‘I really wanted to switch to preventive fire protection and was looking for a new challenge that would help me both professionally and personally,’ explains Dominik. The task of turning 2️⃣ into a functioning subsidiary and managing it particularly appealed to him. ‘I love working with technicians and generating new orders. I enjoy passing on my knowledge and experience and at the same time shaping the development of a joint subsidiary.’

The challenge of bringing teams together

Mitarbeiter-Geschichte Dominik Zirkustasse

A colleague gave Dominik a mug ☕ with the humorous saying ‘All that's missing is the tent, then the circus here would be complete’ 🎪.

‘A mug like this shows that we have a lot of fun at work despite all the challenges.’ Since Dominik was hired, employee satisfaction has also increased 😊 (CWS Fire Safety conducts a survey twice a year, which is analysed using an eNPS value). ‘Our eNPS values have become more positive and sick days have decreased - that shows me that the team is happy,’ he reports proudly.

Enjoying the work

Dominik particularly appreciates the collaboration 💪 with his colleagues in the branch. ‘It's great to pass on my knowledge, especially things that you don't learn in a training course. And I learn something new myself every day, especially from my line manager,’ he says. The daily dynamics and the opportunity to keep learning new things keep his working day exciting and varied ✨

Advice for aspiring managers

Dominik also has valuable advice for those who want to become managers ️ ‘Keep at it and pursue your goal consistently. Setbacks are normal, don't let them discourage you. Seek support, be open to new things and show a lot of understanding - not everything can be taken for granted and everyone communicates differently. Always check whether your message has really got through.’

We would like to thank Dominik for the interview and the insights into the path to becoming a manager at CWS Fire Safety. ❤️🧡
