Mission statement of CWS Fire Safety
For 6 years, we have been passionately committed to protecting people, property and the environment with our fire safety and security technology solutions. Such devices are often overlooked in everyday life, but in an emergency they save lives and protect property. This thought drives us to give our best every day!
Sixth birthday in key figures
The last six years have been an exciting journey for us. Launched in 2018 with just two branches and a small central team of five people, we can now look back on impressive successes:
- Around 900 dedicated employees
- 21 locations in Germany, including our own training centre ‘Fire Safety Academy’
- 3 locations in the Netherlands
- Expected turnover of € 110 million for 2024
- 8 certifications for various product solutions and management systems
What has happened in the last 12 months?
Growth in security technology
Shortly after our 5th birthday, we reached a significant milestone in September 2023: the largest single acquisition in our history, the takeover of the Wellmann Sicherheitstechnik group of companies. Through this expansion, we have also added security technology solutions from various trades to our portfolio in Germany. In addition to fire alarm and voice alarm systems, this now also includes intruder alarm systems, time control and time recording systems, video technology, security lighting and hazard management systems for cross-trade control.
Stronger brand presence
February 2024 saw the launch of our new brand identity. Instead of an overarching CWS brand with various solution areas, we now operate as the independent brand ‘CWS Fire Safety’. This is reflected in our new social media channels, a dedicated website, a new vehicle design and other measures aimed at making the CWS Fire Safety brand even better known.
Opening of the Hamburg branch
In March 2024, we opened our new location just outside Hamburg in Rosengarten-Nenndorf. This branch strengthens our presence in northern Germany and enables us to offer our fire protection and security technology solutions even faster on site at the customer's premises.
New competence centre for extinguishing systems
The opening of our third Competence Centre followed in May 2024. In addition to the Competence Centre for extinguishing water technology and security technology, we now also have the Competence Centre for extinguishing systems, where our specialist staff implement extinguishing system projects throughout Germany. This includes systems such as water extinguishing systems (water spray and water mist extinguishing systems), gas extinguishing systems (CO2, inert gas, FM-200 and NOVEC 1230 extinguishing systems) and foam extinguishing systems.
Live operation of new business software
In August 2024, after a two-year customising and programming phase, we successfully went live with a new, integrated business software (ERP). The first branches are now working with this modern software, which standardises all processes from quotation preparation to order processing and invoicing. This enables us to react even faster and better to customer requests and implement them.
All these milestones - both in the last 12 months and in previous years - are part of our continuous growth with the aim of offering our customers the best possible protection through innovative fire safety and security technology solutions.
