Tim - Service technician SHEV / FAS
Tim has been part of our CWS Fire Safety team at the Bremen branch since May 2024. As a service technician for smoke and heat extraction systems (SHEVS) and fire alarm systems (FAS), he installs and carries out maintenance work on smoke and heat extraction systems and fire alarm systems. His previous activities and his social commitment to the fire brigade form the perfect combination and led him to CWS Fire Safety.
From the volunteer fire brigade to CWS Fire Safety
After training as a roofer, Tim's commitment to the volunteer fire brigade - which he has been a member of since the age of 16 - led to his passion for fire safety. The safety of people and buildings is his main focus. #Safety is also a central building block of CWS Fire Safety, whether it's for employees or customers. Tim gained a lot of practical experience in the fire brigade and as a building technician before finding his calling as a SHEVS / FAS service technician. What Tim loves about his work
As a SHEV / FAS service technician, Tim particularly appreciates the varied tasks and the diverse work locations. ‘The contact with different customers makes for an exciting working day. What's more, I'm not usually away for long, so I have enough time for my family,’ explains our SHEVS / FAS service technician.
Tim also particularly emphasises the good working atmosphere at CWS Fire Safety: ‘The informal culture is fantastic and I can go to my colleagues or superiors with any issue. Tim's start as a SHEV / FAS service technician at CWS Fire Safety was characterised by openness and support from the very beginning. ‘On my first day, I travelled directly with a colleague and was able to learn quickly from everyone in the team. No matter what questions I had, I always got a quick and understandable answer.’ Tim's warm welcome at CWS Fire Safety was another aspect that impressed him.
Growth through further training
As a SHEV / FAS service technician, continuous training is particularly important to Tim. He has already successfully completed several fire protection training courses, including the SHEV training course in Rödermark at the CWS Fire Safety Academy. These training courses enable him to further deepen his expertise and keep up to date with the latest technology. #Growing together is another building block, as Tim grows both professionally and personally through continuous training and further education opportunities.
