Pneumatic smoke and heat extraction systems (SHEVS) dissipate smoke and heat in case of fire via mains-independent exhaust air openings. This way, escape and rescue routes remain smoke-free, the building fabric of the respective building remains stable due to a lower fire load and the fire brigade can work more efficiently. Smoke extraction systems thus make an effective contribution to the protection of people and property. Pneumatic smoke extraction systems are used, for example, in large production halls or warehouses where smoke extraction is required.
A pneumatic smoke extraction system is triggered either by thermal elements attached to the smoke extraction openings (NSHEV) or manually via an actuating device using a pressure cartridge.
Please note: Depending on the federal state an periodic inspection by an inspection expert is necessary every 3-6 years. In addition, annual maintenance of the SHEVS by a competent person, such as CWS Fire Safety, is mandatory. For your safety, we recommend maintenance at shorter intervals in dusty operating facilities.
As part of the all-round carefree package, CWS Fire Safety analyses the local conditions and plans and installs your pneumatic SHEVS. Subsequently, we will be happy to take over regular maintenance for you. With a CWS maintenance contract this is even done automatically.
