Highlights

  • No or little water damage, resulting in reduced downtime after extinguishing

  • Simplified retrofitting also possible in existing systems due to small pipe diameters

  • Extinguishing water supply up to 95% less than with a conventional sprinkler system

Water mist extinguishing system - advice, installation & maintenance

Water mist extinguishing systems (or fine spray extinguishing systems) have special nozzles and sprinklers that atomise the water so finely that a water mist is created. The water mist is characterised by a droplet diameter of less than 0.1 mm. The surface area of the droplets is very large and can therefore absorb a lot of energy. The resulting cooling and smothering effect ensures particularly effective firefighting with reduced use of extinguishing water.

Water mist extinguishing systems protect people particularly well, as the water mist absorbs the heat and knocks down toxic smoke gas. In addition, material assets are efficiently protected as they come into contact with considerably less water than with conventional sprinkler systems.

At CWS Fire Safety, you have the choice between two variants of water mist extinguishing systems, which are categorised according to the system operating pressure.

  1. Low-pressure water mist extinguishing systems up to 16 bar

  2. High-pressure water mist extinguishing systems over 16 bar

All-round carefree package: CWS Fire Safety analyses the conditions on site for you, plans, develops and installs the water mist extinguishing system. We are also available for regular maintenance by specially trained personnel.

Advantages

  • High extinguishing performance with low water consumption

  • Fast response and thus extinguishing times thanks to a pre-controlled system via fire detection systems, which can be designed in such a way that false alarms are minimised

  • Environmentally friendly

Sustainability

Water is an environmentally friendly extinguishing agent, and small quantities also reduce the amount retained, which simplifies disposal after a fire.
