Foam fire extinguishers

A foam extinguisher provides reliable fire protection for fire classes A and B:

• Fire class A: Solid, mostly organic materials such as wood, paper, or textiles
• Fire class B: Liquid materials or materials that become liquid when heated, such as plastics, paints, tar, or gasoline

Thanks to its extinguishing agent, the foam extinguisher is particularly suitable for use in areas with sensitive infrastructure – e.g., in offices, technical rooms, or public buildings. Unlike powder extinguishers, it does not obstruct visibility and minimizes consequential damage. In addition, the foam adheres to vertical surfaces, effectively preventing re-ignition. The water content provides a cooling effect.

Our fluorine-free foam extinguisher at a glance

Our fluorine-free foam extinguishers are available in the following versions:

• Activation: Push button or hand lever
• Functionality: Pressurized or continuous pressure extinguisher
• Operating range: Can be used from -30 °C to +60 °C
• Sizes: Available with 6L (9LE, 10LE) and 9L (10LE, 12 LE)
• Safety & approval: Suitable for electrical systems up to 1,000 volts (non-conductive), officially tested and certified according to DIN EN 3, GS, and CE
• Extinguishing agent: Fluorine-free foam extinguishing agent (without PFAS!)

The extinguishing agent is impregnating, and the fire extinguisher is ready for immediate use. Of course, every foam fire extinguisher is DIN EN 3-compliant, GS-tested, and CE-certified—for maximum safety and compliance with standards.

Environmentally friendly extinguishing: The new generation of foam extinguishers

Many conventional foam extinguishers contain poly- and perfluorinated chemicals that are considered harmful to the environment and health. The European Union has therefore issued clear regulations:

• From October 23, 2026: Only fluorine-free foam extinguishers may be placed on the market
• From 2031: Use of fluorine-containing models will no longer be permitted

An early switch to fluorine-free foam extinguishers is therefore not only ecologically sensible, but also economically advisable. Our fluorine-free foam extinguisher is biodegradable, complies with EU regulations, and offers the same performance as conventional products.
