Services 19 April 2021 The Haniel Group has published its annual report for 2020. In it, the figures for the CWS Group were also published. According to the report, CWS – despite the coronavirus pandemic – was once again able to build on the positive economic development of recent years. The company increased its sales by 5 percent from just under 1.19 billion euros in the previous year to 1.24 billion euros. This growth was mainly due to the inclusion of the recently acquired companies, especially in the Fire Safety division. Operating profit grew considerably by 10 percent from 155 million to 170 million Euros. From the start of 2020, CWS benefited from increased demand for hygiene products as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. Slight sales declines in the Workwear business were thus more than offset, especially by the Hygiene segment. Compared to the previous year, the number of employees rose by 5 percent from 10,509 to 11,012. The increase was mainly due to acquisitions in the Fire Safety, Hygiene and Cleanroom divisions.
