Not only is our society diverse, but so is our working world – this is what today’s Diversity Day stands for and what also applies to CWS. „At CWS, we want to create a working environment where every single individual is valued and can make full use of their strengths irrespective of their gender, age, nationality, religion, disability or sexual orientation,” says Jürgen Höfling, CEO of the CWS Group. „I am delighted and proud to be the head of a company which values differences as an opportunity.“ By signing the Diversity Charter at the end of 2020, CWS has already officially committed itself to consistently driving forward the topics of diversity and inclusion.
Together with its employees, CWS wants to stand up for more diversity and inclusion and also embed the topic more firmly in the corporate culture. To this end, the company has set up the Diversity & Inclusion Council. As a first step, the working groups "Age", "Gender", "Nationality" and "People with disabilities" were established. The choice of topics is not random: A survey was conducted among all employees to find out which diversity issues are particularly important to them. The first measures are already being developed, including a revised company policy and special training courses for employees to strengthen awareness and approaches to diversity and inclusion at CWS.
