Duisburg, 7 April 2021 – CWS Fire Safety GmbH, the specialist in preventive fire protection in the CWS Group, triples its revenue growth. In 2020, the company earned around 36 million euros. For the current year, around 60 million euros of sales volume are set as target. This means that the youngest company in the CWS Group is on course for further growth. Ulrich Schild, General Manager of CWS Fire Safety GmbH, says: "Since our start about two years ago, we developed into a respected player in the world of fire protection. With our nationwide network of fire safety experts, service providers and other partners, we offer our innovative solutions and professional services almost nationwide in Germany. This is what defines us: We are where our customers are."
The acquisition of qualified fire protection businesses and the establishment of scalable processes coupled with organic growth have made CWS the leading full-service provider of preventive fire protection in Germany. Jürgen Höfling, CEO of the CWS Group, says of the subsidiary's success: "Two years ago, we invested in a growth market with foresight and have successfully pursued our strategy up to this day. Together with the CWS Fire Safety team, we have created a rapidly growing company and successfully established it in the market."
CWS Fire Safety is the only supplier in Germany to offer its extensive range of products and services nationwide. From technical systems to structural and organisational fire protection: everything for reliable preventive fire protection of people and property is included. This is of particular benefit to larger companies that, for example, have a network of branches and value a defined and consistent standard.
Buy-and-build strategy drives growth
"Our acquisitions show one thing very clearly: our idea of a network solution is well received in the industry. Existing companies are looking for cooperation and exchange. Under the roof of CWS Fire Safety, we offer the opportunity to grow together and to jointly set innovative and sustainable accents in the market," says Ulrich Schild.
The company's most recent acquisition is Dieter Pecher Alarmanlagen GmbH in Nuremberg, which will close on 1 April 2021, thus adding further experts in the field of hazard detection systems to the Nuremberg site. The company is currently working on expanding its business activities within Europe and strengthens its own position in the field of security technology. In addition to fire alarm systems, CWS Fire Safety also examines investments in the areas of intrusion alarm systems, video surveillance and access control.
The buy-and-build strategy involves the acquisition of qualified fire protection companies to expand and complete the existing network with their local presence, range of services and expertise. To this end, the M&A team has acquired around 20 companies in the last two years. The best-known company acquisitions include Jungels Feuerschutz GmbH in Frankfurt, MARANG Brandschutz & Technologie GmbH in Berlin and Feurobrand Feuerlöschtechnik GmbH in Essen.
