Duisburg March 1, 2021 – CWS, a holistic solution provider for Hygiene, Workwear, Fire Safety, Cleanrooms and Healthcare, has announced Hartmut Engler their new Chief Divisional Officer Workwear (CDO). As of March 1, 2021 Engler is responsible for the business of CWS Workwear International GmbH and reports directly to Jürgen Höfling, CEO of the CWS Group. He succeeds Morten Haure-Petersen, who will leave the company at his own request at the end of February.

Jürgen Höfling, CEO of the CWS Group, welcomes on the new appointment: "We are pleased to welcome Hartmut Engler as an experienced manager with many years of expertise in the service sector, his technical background and strategic vision to the CWS Group. Together we will shape the future of the CWS Group and expand the customer focus of the Workwear division even further."

Commenting on his new role as CDO Workwear, Hartmut Engler adds: “I am looking forward to continue driving CWS' journey to become the leading service provider of innovative and sustainable workwear solutions. Hartmut Engler looks back on more than 25 years of professional experience in the service sector. He started his career as a development engineer at Mercedes-Benz. Afterwards he spent many years in various management positions at OTIS, the global market leader of elevators and escalators. Until 2014, he was Chairman of the Management Board of OTIS Germany. At the same time he served as Vice President at UTC Gebäude- und Industriesysteme. After another two years as a member of the Executive Board at the Dussmann Foundation, the 53-year old manager moved into his most recent position as member of the Executive Board and Chief Digital Officer at Gegenbauer Holding, a leading national facility management company.

Jürgen Höfling adds on the departure of the previous CDO of CWS Workwear Morten Haure-Petersen: "We very much regret the departure of Morten Haure-Petersen and would like to express our sincere thanks for his commitment as well as for the excellent collaboration. As the leading manager of CWS Workwear, he has decisively advanced and strengthened the new direction of the business unit. We wish Morten every success for his professional and private future!"
