31 March 2022 Hygiene

Duisburg/Dreieich, 31 March 2022 CWS Hygiene wins the Red Dot Design Award 2022 for its new PureLine product line. The international jury of the Red Dot Awards honours the PureLine in the category “product design”.

CWS Hygiene launched a new hygiene product dispenser line, the PureLine, back in February. Based on current trends, this product line strives to transport the aesthetics and feeling of one's own private bathroom into the public washroom. The PureLine impresses with a modern and unconventional design, that fits seamlessly into the overall appearance of a washroom. Its universal and timeless appearance makes it suitable for different environments and target groups. Handwashing thus becomes an activity that is done with pleasure and conveys a feeling of safety. In addition, the PureLine offers pre-installed, intelligent IoT technology that will enable digital networking and operation of the washroom in the future.

Velina Allerkamp, Chief Divisional Officer CWS Hygiene, is delighted about the award: "Wow - what great news: Our PureLine wins the Red Dot Award! We are incredibly proud about the "Oscar" for international product design. In times when people are developing a completely new awareness of hygiene, suppliers of corresponding products have to set new standards. We have put a lot of passion and heart and soul into the development and are delighted that our efforts have been recognised. The PureLine sets standards for washroom design – modern, puristic and simply beautiful".

With the PureLine, CWS is responding to the completely new role that hygiene plays in the lives of most people since the outbreak of the Corona pandemic two years ago. Regular, thorough hand washing is an integral part of many people's everyday lives and is increasingly becoming an important, regular habit, especially outside the home. When visiting restaurants, staying in hotels or in offices, much more attention is paid to clean and well-maintained sanitary facilities than before. This includes a simple, intuitive usage that minimises soiling or damage to the sanitary facilities.

A well-equipped, inviting washroom has a high influence on visitor’s overall impression and the assessment of the respective place. With the PureLine, CWS helps operators of restaurants and hotels or landlords of offices to lay a special focus on hygienic, well-equipped, and visually appealing sanitary facilities in order to keep their finger on the pulse in a post-Corona world.
