These work dungarees from CWS feature the patented high-tech fabric Wooltech. This is a combination of natural wool fibres with flame retardant viscose from LenzingTM as well as aramids for long durability and dimensional stability. The dungarees are made up of two layers: while the wool predominantly in the outer layer repels metal splashes, the breathable viscose makes the garment extremely comfortable to wear. Beyond the requirements of the standard test, Pure Metal protects against molten iron and aluminium as well as cryolite and copper.

The work dungarees are ideal as protective clothing in foundries and other places of work with high levels of radiant and convective heat. The wearer benefits from the material’s excellent thermal insulation and the air between the two fabric layers acts as an additional heat insulator. The heat and foundry protective clothing also intercepts fault arcs and antistatic charges. The CWS trousers features double layers in particularly vulnerable areas.

As with all heat-protective clothing, all of the seven pockets have concealed press studs and flaps. Among other things, these details prevent molten metal from penetrating the material. The folding rule and bib pockets are particularly roomy. Reflective piping on the bib makes workers more visible.

Note: In order to achieve the certified protection level, the jacket and trousers or dungarees must be worn together. The heat and foundry protective clothing must cover the arms, legs and neck area fully.

Advantages

Metal splashes roll off the patented Wooltech fabric of these work dungarees like water off rain jackets. The dungarees protect against heat, fault arcs and anti-static charges and are extremely comfortable to wear.

  • 54% LenzingTM FR viscose | 20% wool | 20% polyamide | 5% aramid | 1% anti-static fibres
  • Maximum protection against metal splashes, ideal for working in foundries
  • Innovative, two-layer high-tech fabric combines high protective properties with great wearing comfort

Protection against flammability, anti-static charge, fault arcs and radiant heat

Sustainability

Our workwear impresses thanks to its durable, recyclable materials that are as sustainable as possible. With the Pure Metal collection, for example, CWS combines natural wool fibres with sustainably produced viscose. If an item does become damaged, we repair rather than replace it whenever and wherever possible – thus saving resources. When it comes to the washing and drying processes in our industrial laundries, we set great store by the efficient use of energy. Fresh water is reprocessed and used multiple times. CWS ensures that its suppliers operate in accordance with ethical and sustainability standards. They have all committed themselves to the requirements of the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) and CWS additionally audits suppliers in risk countries to verify their compliance with the BSCI Code of Conduct.
