Nomex® is a patented, inherently flame-resistant fiber that has high temperature resistance and will not melt, drip or support combustion in air.
Nomex® fibers are well known from racing and other applications. They were developed by the DuPont company in the early 1960s and first introduced to the market in 1967. On contact with extreme heat, a protective crust forms, giving the wearer valuable seconds of additional protection and safety. Nomex® was originally used in racing overalls; even today, professional racers trust the high-performance fiber from DuPont.
Nomex® fibers have proven themselves worldwide in firefighter protective clothing, police uniforms or racing driver suits. Tests show that the clothing retains its exceptionally good heat and flame-retardant properties even after long periods of use. The collection is available in dark gray; the reflective
