Double-layer protection against arc faults in all work situations
The "Nomex® Comfort Plus" offers outstanding protection against the thermal effects of a class 2 electrical arc thanks to its all-round double-layer finish. The special feature: This heat/flame protection collection offers the lowest weight class on the market today, protecting against arc faults of 7 kA lasting up to 0.5 seconds, while being certified according to EN ISO 11612 (A1, B1, C1) and EN 1149-3. It thus offers unsurpassed wearing comfort, which the name already promises.
Nomex® is a flame retardant meta-aramid material that offers unparalleled heat and flame resistance. It was developed by DuPont in the early 1960s and first introduced to the market in 1967. Upon contact with extreme heat, a protective crust forms, giving the wearer valuable seconds of added protection and safety.
The high-performance fiber is used millions of times in protective clothing for firefighters, police uniforms or racing driver suits. Tests show that the clothing retains its exceptionally good heat and flame protection properties even after long periods of use.
Our advice: It is crucial that you find the right level of protection for you. To do this, carry out a risk survey at your workplace. We will be happy to advise you at any time without obligation.
