Protect your production from the costly consequences of ESD damage

It cannot be seen and is usually not noticed by people - and yet it represents one of the greatest dangers for electronic devices, parts and components: electrostatic discharge. This physical phenomenon is referred to in technical jargon by the abbreviation ESD (Electro-Static-Discharge). The CWS collection "ESD Safe Line" offers reliable protection against this.

In the "ESD Safe Line", we use conductive, carbonized fibers and an extremely lightweight fabric. This has two major advantages for the wearer of ESD clothing: Unlike conductive metal fibers, the allergy potential of carbon fibers is many times lower; carbon fibers also cannot break - potential short circuits are ruled out.

The light fabric weight of the "ESD Safe Line" also contributes to a high feel-good factor. An important aspect when the ESD workwear is worn directly on the skin.

Two possible ESD outfits for men and women:

  1. ESD polo shirts or ESD T-shirts combined with matching color ESD waistband pants.
  2. Various ESD coats or ESD smocks, optionally with long or with short sleeves, which are worn over private clothing

Please note: ESD workwear is part of an ESD system. In addition to the dissipative clothing, wearers need suitable ESD footwear. Incidentally, ESD clothing does not count as personal protective equipment, but it must still meet high requirements: The low voltage range (from 100 volts upwards), in which the clothing must avoid electrostatic charges or dissipate them in a controlled manner, requires complex material requirements.

Reliable protection against an invisible hazard

The "ESD Safe Line" plays to its strengths in the electrical industry, for example in the manufacture of electronic (complete) devices, assemblies, printed circuit boards, inductive components (e.g. solenoid coils), systems and much more. The "ESD Safe Line" also offers reliable product protection during the assembly of electrical devices and testing of modules.
