The Conductex® material made from polyester and carbon fibres conducts electrostatic electricity away from the product reliably and in a controlled manner. This prevents the electricity from jumping to sensitive electronic components and causing possibly irreparable damage. People often only feel such discharges as of 3,500 volts – electrical components are already at risk from just 100 volts.
