Hygiëne in de recreatie

Hygiene in recreation

Ready for the new recreational season of 2025? Hygiene and sanitation are under a magnifying glass and guests have written a bad review in no time. Read our tips!

The guests are coming!

Yes, they are! The new leisure season is just around the corner. After the winter and months of gray weather, many people are itching to get outdoors again, and you can start receiving guests again. These guests are of course concerned about (sanitary) hygiene. "Can I go here without worrying about the hygiene situation?" It's time to check if hygiene in recreation is well organized!

Whether it's campgrounds, day recreation or excursions and attractions such as amusement parks, zoos and museums, hygiene plays an important role in the overall experience of your guests.

Hygiene in recreation has priority

Meet the higher demands of guests

Visitor expectations are higher than ever. Where a washroom or restroom might have been less than perfectly clean in the past, it can now mean “I might get sick here”. The last thing you want is a source of contamination in your facility.

What are the sanitary facilities like?

When choosing an accommodation, people look for information on sites like Zoover or Tripadvisor. More often than you might think, general hygiene and the state of the sanitary facilities come up as criteria that can have a big impact on the overall rating.

At CWS, we work on hygiene every day. We visit more than 250,000 addresses in Europe, which makes us a very large sanitary hygiene specialist. Here are three tips for good hygiene in recreational facilities.

We’re out of toilet paper!

If the toilets and washrooms are not cleaned properly or on time, and the sanitary facilities are untidy or malfunctioning, guests will soon feel uncomfortable and are more likely not to return.

Constant availability of toilet paper, soap and hand drying facilities is a must as you don’t want to run out during the busy summer months. CWS is here to help
