How is CWS remaining contactable for its customers?
Our customers can continue relying on us and our services. In the current corona pandemic situation our services are basically needed more than ever. We are well aware of our particular responsibility: our customers, especially from the spheres of health and safety, are dependent on our services in order to be able to go about their work. We are making an important contribution – and intend to continue doing so.
How long will CWS be able to ensure its ongoing operations?
Our top priority is the health of our employees and customers. That is why we have defined specific measures, issued binding hygiene rules and informed all employees about them. As a European company, we observe and respect the regional recommendations given by the authorities in this respect.
What measures has CWS taken so far?
Hygienic solutions occupy centre stage at CWS. Our RABC hygiene management system is certified to DIN 14065:2016 and is audited annually by an independent certification company. This includes, among other things, verification of the effectiveness of our disinfectant laundering processes by way of which we ensure the effective killing off and inactivation of potential pathogens. This also applies to our RAL GZ 992/1 - 4 certified laundries.
As a European company, we have put additional cross-border instructions in place. These are supplemented by the respective local requirements at our locations. These measures include, among others, teleworking arrangements for our administrative staff, in addition to which we have suspended business trips and meetings until further notice.
We have also introduced additional protective measures for CWS service drivers, laundry employees and for all staff having personal customer contact. For example, customers gather and put potentially contaminated laundry into separate plastic bags. The CWS service drivers pick these up at the outer gate so they no longer enter the premises. The laundry is then transported in separate containers and the service vehicle is disinfected after the transport run.
How does CWS ensure that the company meets the more stringent but urgently necessary hygienic requirements?
We at CWS always stand for hygiene and safety with our solutions and products. For our customers and our employees alike. That is why we in any case have high hygiene and safety standards for all of our products and services in each and every one of our solution areas.

We shall be focussing our entire operational performance on supporting our customers with our products and services during this time. In doing so we will help ensure that our customers from systemically relevant areas in the spheres of healthcare and safety can continue to be there for the people they serve.
How is CWS continuing to meet the special hygiene standards for, among others, cleanroom customers?
By using the state-of-the-art cleaning processes, we at CWS ensure that our cleanroom clothing meets the very highest standards. We ensure the highest possible level of safety in the cleanroom by way of effective decontamination and sterilisation of the clothing. We will continue to meet these requirements and standards during the corona pandemic. Can efficient logistics also be ensured across European borders in the current situation?
Our strong logistics network has enabled us to continue ensuring the reliable transport of goods across the whole of Europe. Constraints at the national borders can lead to logistical delays at the current time. We are working flat out with adapted planning, flexible implementation and the commitment of our employees to make sure that these delays will not prevent our customers from getting the service they are used to being given.
How is the health and safety of CWS employees ensured?
The safety of the employees is the priority at CWS. With regard to the spread of the corona pathogen, we have prepared a pandemic plan and have also taken the following measures:
- Our employees are trained as part of our hygiene management and are also given additional guidelines and rules of conduct that focus on their own protection and that of our customers.
- We provide our employees with regular, targeted information.
- Rules of conduct which state that employees with corona symptoms should contact their doctor by telephone and stay away from work. This also applies to the illness of family members and the extension of teleworking for employees in administrative functions.
- Employees should generally refrain from business trips and meetings. The use of virtual meetings was increased.
