Filling and draining station - planning, installation & maintenance
A filling and emptying station is used where a separation of drinking water and extinguishing water is prescribed and in areas with a risk of frost.
Triggering the filling and emptying station ensures that extinguishing water is available at the tapping point within 60 seconds. Following the extinguishing process, the filling and emptying station is emptied so that the extinguishing water pipes are not permanently filled. This ensures drinking water hygiene in the building and no extinguishing water can freeze in the pipes. Consequently, the use in frost-prone areas is unproblematic.
Planning a filling and draining station
The planning of a filling and draining station requires consideration of fire protection requirements as well as drinking water regulations. In addition to the classic application, our systems are also available as wet-dry stations for use downstream of an indirectly connected pressure boosting system. Intelligent controls of the filling and draining station or wet-dry station ensure safe operation.
All-round carefree package: CWS Fire Safety is available for the planning, installation, commissioning and annual maintenance of the filling and emptying station (or wet/drying station). In addition, we support you in the implementation of your operator obligations. Comprehensive on-site instruction of your employees is, of course, also part of our standard scope of services.
