So sustainable is your Scandic Line ladies bistro jacket

Sustainable material

The fabric of the Scandic Line Ladies Bistro Jacket is not only hard-wearing, shape-retaining and easy-care, but also 100 percent ecological: 65 percent of the fibers used are recycled into polyester from PET bottles. The remaining 35 percent is made from recycled cotton. Both the production of recycled polyester and recycled cotton use less energy and water than the production of conventional materials.

Sustainable production

The fabric of the bistro jacket of the "Scandic Line" collection is produced in Spain. CWS works exclusively with suppliers who have signed the BSCI Code of Conduct. Suppliers in risk countries are audited for compliance with the BSCI Code of Conduct. Production takes place under fair working conditions. The producer of the Scandic Line is certified according to OEKO®-Tex Standard Class 1, Eco Label-Energy Green and GRS Global recycled standard CU1114095GRS-2021-00044438.

Sustainable use phase

The bistro jacket is very durable due to its material and high quality workmanship, which makes it long-lasting. The garments have been validated in our industrial washing program.

Sustainability Index

Only if our workwear products meet clear, traceable sustainability criteria do they carry the "Know what you wear" label. Each item of clothing is tested for its environmental impact using a Group-wide assessment matrix. Important parameters here are the impact on climate change and biodiversity. The Scandic Line bistro jacket achieves an above-average score, meaning it has a comparatively low environmental impact.

Skin compatibility

All components of the clothing, i.e. also all threads, buttons and other accessories, have been tested for harmful substances by an independent institute and are harmless to health even in case of intensive skin contact. The material has been tested for over 2000 chemical residues and is certified according to Oeko-Tex Standard 100, product class 1. This performance class has the strictest requirements and limits.
