Outshining many of its rivals, this heat protection clothing impresses with its two-layer design and all-round protection against class 2 fault arcs. Weighing in at just 405 g/m2, it is also one of the lightest items of workwear to boast these characteristics. High-quality Nomex® fibres like those employed for racing drivers’ overalls offer reliable and long-lasting protection against heat and flames: repeated washing does not affect their heat protection properties. The air trapped between the inner and outer layer of the trousers also functions as an active insulator against heat. The work trousers available in two shades of blue additionally help to prevent electrical discharges.

The textile blend comprises Nomex®, modacrylic and cotton, with the result that, alongside providing essential protection against fault arcs and heat, it is also very comfortable to wear. Reflective piping on the shoulders increases visibility. The Nomex® Comfort Plus collection is ideal for employees dealing with heavy current – for example individuals working in utility companies, manufacturing car batteries and active in similar fields. The fault arc protection clothing also does a great job in the classic electrician trade.

The Nomex® trousers’ five pockets offer plenty of storage space for tools and include a folding rule pocket, leg pocket and back pocket. All satisfy the requirements of the applicable standards and are thus equipped with flaps and concealed press studs to prevent liquids from entering the heat protection clothing. Note: The workwear can only offer optimal protection against fault arcs, heat and flames when the jacket and trousers are worn together as a set. To this end, the clothing must cover the upper and lower body, throat, arms and legs completely.

CWS is also happy to add company logos or name tags to the heat and fault arc protection clothing on request. Please contact our customer consultant for further details.
