CWS Cleanrooms takes over STAXS® and adds cleanroom consumables to its service portfolio

Duisburg/Dreieich, 9 May 2022 – CWS Cleanrooms, a member company of the CWS Group, takes over STAXS® Contamination Control Experts (STAXS). STAXS is a leading distributor of cleanroom consumables for the life sciences and other industries in the broader Benelux region. This acquisition by CWS Cleanrooms is a further stage in the expansion of its cleanroom services in Europe. The seller is Silverfleet Capital, a pan-European private equity company. The parties have agreed to keep the purchase price confidential. The transaction is planned for completion in late May 2022 and is subject to no further closing conditions.

The acquisition is an important step in implementing the company’s growth strategy, as Markus Schad, Managing Director of CWS Cleanrooms, knows: "This acquisition represents a further stage in the expansion of our international portfolio of services for our customers in the highly specialized cleanroom segment. The takeover of STAXS to expand the CWS cleanroom business in Europe follows the acquisitions of Specialised Sterile Environments (SSE) and Service Matters (SML), both based in Ireland, as well as WERO, a Dutch specialist in cleanroom cleaning, and profi-con, a German company offering cleanroom cleaning services and expertise in on-site and online training.
