Door control unit - advice, assembly & testing
Door control units are used to secure electrically locked doors along escape and rescue routes. Thus, electrically locked escape doors can be unlocked for authorised persons during operating hours by means of an escape route terminal without triggering an alarm. In an emergency, the door can be opened by anyone by pressing the emergency button.
Functions of a door control unit:
- Emergency button for door opening
- Lock function (special solution)
- Weekly time switch
- Compatible with bus technology
In addition, an interface to other products such as swing door drives, fire alarm systems or burglar alarm systems is optionally possible.
Escape route terminals from CWS
Our escape route terminals can be set so that escape doors function either locked, permanently unlocked or temporarily unlocked. In addition, our door control units are made of high-quality plastic, metal or stainless steel housings in stainless steel, white or green. They are functional at an ambient temperature of -10 °C to +50 °C.
Testing escape route terminals
In the context of functioning fire protection, escape route terminals must be tested every 12 months by an expert. The operator must present a test certificate to the building supervisory authority on request.
CWS installs door control units, attaches the necessary signs and carries out the periodic testing.
Advantages
- Can also be used for outdoor areas
- Connection to other (fire protection) products
